The SOE Software team recently returned from Washington, DC, where they discussed emerging technology trends with the nation's top government leaders at the National Association of State Election Directors (NASED) and the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) conference held on February 10-14. Election Day Foundations

SOE Software has rounded out its Clarity TRAINING suite with the new Election Day Foundations program. This program provides background information on the history of the electoral process and voter's rights. The Election Day Foundations program can serve your office as a great review for current poll workers and as an orientation and introduction for prospective workers. A short assessment is also included to measure the basic skills essential to a successful Election Day. SOE Software Employee Spotlight

Mike Samuel is a Software Engineer at SOE Software. Born in Bangkok into a U.S. Military family, he traveled to many places including Japan, Korea, Hawaii, and Guam. At the age of 14, Mike encountered a dusty box containing a Commodore 64, and it forever changed his destiny. This new found obsession led him to win an award at the science fair in his school for a weather prediction software. After graduating, Mike enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he spent six years as a computer maintenance specialist. Still yearning to become a computer programmer he left the military to pursue his dream. While attending college he came across an opportunity to become an entry level programmer, and then in 1999 achieved his first professional programming position.

Mike brings his passion for programming, along with his creativity, to SOE Software's development team. His experience and expertise help to keep SOE Software's product line running smoothly and always improving.
